Well, falling off the horse isn't what matters. What matters is that I get up and get back on. Here I am....getting back on the horse, so giddy-up!!! And right on time for my 50th post.......
As I said before, I have been thinking of a way to redeem myself from my last challenge and I think I've got it. I am commiting to running 50 miles in 50 days to celebrate my first 50 posts (and to keep myself goal-oriented. This should be an easy goal to conquer because I do have the Ntelos 8k coming up in November and 50 days takes me all the way to November 10th. The race is November 13th - pretty perfect if you ask me! Between you and me, I am hoping to go well beyond the 50, but I will keep it simple - for now (don't want to sabotage myself).
I can not believe that this is my 50th post! I have only been back on my journey to Healthy Happyness, and writing on here about it, for a few months and already - 50 posts!
I have loved sharing all of my rambling thoughts on here. Hopefully, you have enjoyed reading them.
To celebrate my post-iversary, I am hosting a giveaway. CSN Stores has provided me with the goods to do it! CSN Stores is an AWESOME website that offers practically anything you could want. They have 200+ websites for your browsing and shopping pleasures! I personally can vouch for how much they offer because I have recently won a giveaway from The (Mis) Adventures of a Jogging Stroller Mom. With my decisiveness, it took a lot of thought of what I should get. Since I have recently challenged myself to 30 Days of Fitness, this is what I chose:
I really love my new yoga mat. It is the color of chocolate. It is is so cushy and perfect! CSN is great! Originally, I ordered a 'workout mat' and when I got it, it was not what I thought I ordered. It was smaller (by a foot and a half) and it was very thick. When I contacted them, I had no problem returning the mat and re-ordering an actual yoga mat. Who knew a 'workout mat' and a 'yoga mat' are not the same? Not me, obviously! Now I have some new FIRM dvds and my new loved yoga mat! The dvds are okay, but not what I hoped for. I honestly just don't find them as challenging as I thought I would. I guess I just love my running and yoga!
Now..... Here is how YOU too can win some CSN moolah (if you are lucky.....)!

What gets me out of a slump is forgiving myself and moving on. No better way than to just make yourself do it!
And I, obviously, cannot follow directions in the morning, LOL. Sorry for the unnecessary multiple comments!
I definitely need a new coffee maker!

Good for you for setting a new challenge! Good luck!
I'd use it toward a guidecraft kitchen helper. Thanks for the chance!

When I have a fitness slump, I tell myself, "okay, let's just go for one small walk." Usually, once I get moving, I will keep going.
I want some Farberware cookware.

Lord yes,I have fitness slumps! Once a month I get real slumpy but most women do and I crave ice cream and chocolate so badly! What gets me out of it is doing something fun or going somewhere that gets a little male attention or a new outfit, those things encourage me to be my best because I am worth it.

fitness slumps? I get those all the time. Nothing like a camping trip to cure that couch potato attitude!I go camping maybe 2 or three times a year and it makes me feel like getting healthy

1) I would get the 10lbs Kettle Bell - I've been thinking about one for a while. The few $ that are left would be spent on something like school supplies that I would stockpile here in my house until NEXT Sept.
2) I find that telling someone I'm going to do something makes me more accountable. Or, show up to a group run, even if you can't keep pace with the leaders. You're not going to NOT run if you're with a group dressed in your shoes. OH, I know another one, SCHEDULE it into your week. On Sunday I plan my entire week around my workout. Doesn't mean it always goes off without a hitch, but 9 times out of 10, I get all my workouts in (except CORE. I should do a 50-50-50 core challenge of my own.... hmmm).
I'd get a new shower head for my cousin for her wedding!

I saw they are selling a watch that is an all-in-one deal. It tracks distance, speed, time and also has a built in heart rate monitor. My current watch just broke, not completely, but enough that I need an excuse to buy a new one. I would put the $40 toward a new watch.

Fitness slump? What's that? Just kidding. To get through, you got to use your mental strength, persistence and confidence to overcome. I always turn on my favorite music (you know who) and dance around. Dancing is a great form of fitness and makes the kids laugh and always breaks me out of any slump. Guaranteed.
